EU各国、馬肉混入で牛肉加工品DNA検査へ

欧州連合（EU）加盟27カ国は先月15日、欧州の小売店で「牛肉」と表示された加工食品に馬肉が混入していた問題で、全容を把握するため、全加盟国で牛肉の加工食品を対象にしたDNA検査を実施することを決めました。検査は、小売段階で加盟国ごとに10～250サンプルを無作為に抽出し、馬肉が入っていないかを調べるもので、特に馬肉の鎮痛剤として使用され、人間が摂取すると深刻な血液異常が起きるとの報告事例もある「フェニルブタゾン」の成分が含まれていないかも検査することになります。
